Retief Lubbe and colleagues at the University of Twente hosted groups of 10-15 year old girls as part of a national campaign to stimulate their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). These students were introduced to the wonders of science of multiple disciplines, ranging from electrical engineering to soil mechanics; from privacy to novel materials at the nanoscale using supercomputers; and from and Citizen Science to Healthcare.
